WELCOME TO PAPPAGALLO

Villa Pappagallo is situated on the prestigious Sandy Lane Estate. It will capture your heart with its elegant timeless interiors, spacious pool deck and natural landscaped grounds extending to one and a half acres.

Pappagallo offers so much more than just a villa with sun deck and pools… It offers a taste of a tropical Caribbean estate with its colourful planting, waterfall, ponds, mature palms and gully paths. By night landscape lighting transforms the pool deck to complement the beautiful Caribbean sunset views, perfectly framed by coconut trees.

 

OVERVIEW

Inside there are five large versatile private ensuite bedrooms including a master suite on the first floor. It has a spacious coral stone reception lounge, indoor dining, TV room and a new fully equipped designer kitchen with modern Smeg appliances.

Outside there is a large sunny pool deck with two new deck extensions, a large 15m pool and separate jacuzzi.  Two covered terraces with fans offer welcome shade throughout the day and have ample seating and dining areas. A gym can also be set up for that morning or afternoon workout. The extensive tropical mature gardens include a waterfall, ponds, pergola and gully to be explored by young and old alike.

 

A GUIDED TOUR

Upon arrival, as you enter the open plan coral stone reception lounge you will be greeted by our staff with a welcome drink of your choice and cold towels to freshen up after your travels. This area is furnished with comfortable sofas for relaxation and a piano for any musicians.

 

OUTSIDE

From here there are three sets of double doors that lead you onto a large, covered veranda, with seating and dining areas… then cast your eyes over the newly extended pool deck to the sea and coastline beyond. Its finally time to unwind and enjoy your holiday.

 

The sunny pool deck has ample space for both shade and sun lovers alike at any time of the day and as the villa is situated slightly higher up on the ridge it also benefits from a freshening gentle breeze that is always welcome.

The new ‘Sea View Deck’ is a place to sit with friends and family and relax, or BBQ and dine ‘al fresco’, all while enjoying beautiful Caribbean sunset skies.

The new ‘Waterfall Deck’ to the south, on the other hand, overlooks a gently cascading waterfall into ponds below and is a shady peaceful place to sit with views over lush tropical planting and gully.

Steps from this deck lead into a fun adventure of discovery with Meandering paths leading through the gully with tropical planting and past a cool shady Pergola, a spot for quiet contemplation or inspiration perhaps?

 

A further front terrace is a versatile space that can be set up as a gym with Smart rower and bike, bench and weights etc. It’s the perfect place for an early morning or afternoon workout with its natural breeze, shade and of course, fans. Alternatively, it can be a quiet place to work with wifi connection or to relax and stay cool away from the afternoon tropical sun. The choice is yours.

 

INSIDE.

Moving Inside, Pappagallo has a private Master Suite exclusively on the upper level, with its own large covered balcony offering the most stunning views over the pool deck to the sea and horizon beyond. It has ample room to sit, sunbathe, or enjoy sundowners with friends and family.

 

A further four spacious ensuite bedrooms can be found at ground floor level, each with walk in wardrobes and comfortable beds with mattress toppers and cool cotton sheets. There are two bedrooms on each wing of the villa, both with a King room that opens onto the pool deck and a second bedroom with twin or super king options. This makes it perfect for families and friends alike.

All bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, hairdryers and USB charging sockets. Cots and extra single beds are available on request.

 

There is a new fully equipped kitchen with coffee/tea station and a cook is available for breakfast, lunch and/or supper. Why not try the flavourful Caribbean cuisine or ask for any of your favourite dishes. Dietary preferences can also be catered for on request.

 

An air-conditioned TV room is equipped with a Chrome Cast to facilitate most streaming services to keep the children entertained or for a quiet night in. These include Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus etc. and are available with your own subscriptions.

 

Other facilities include an airy dining room inside and a drinks station equipped with poolside glasses, fridges and ice maker so you can enjoy your drinks at the perfect temperature any time of the day!

 

THE SANDY LANE BEACH CLUB

Included in your stay is access to the private Sandy Lane Estate Beach club, located adjacent to the Sandy Lane Hotel and is just a 5-minute drive away or a beautiful 20-minute stroll along the Sandy Lane golf course. The club offers a wonderful beach, sun loungers and a covered sitting area with bar and dedicated welcoming staff who will also serve light lunches. Beach towels are provided by Pappagallo so remember to take them down with you.

 

Golf and tennis facilities are also available for booking on the estate, with complimentary tennis racket hire …and don’t forget to visit the Sandy Lane golf club house for drinks or lunch and an amazing view over the golf course.

 

…AND BEYOND…

Holetown is just a short 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk away from the villa and has some of the best amenities on the island. The famous Limegrove centre is in the heart of the town and offers luxury shopping and dining. There are also numerous bars and restaurants in the town and close by to suit every occasion from fine dining at Tides or Paul Owens, for example, to more casual dining on first and second streets…the Sunday night Karaoke in first street is a local’s favourite.

On a more practical note there are: two handy well stocked supermarkets; fresh fish markets a short drive north or south; and an excellent medical centre very close by for peace of mind.

 

Barbados not only has a rich history with its sugar plantation houses and rum distilleries to visit, it also has so much more to explore: a diverse tropical topography for walkers and surfers; colourful street festivals throughout the year; numerous sporting events with international cricket, horse racing and polo matches: and markets to sample local produce, arts and crafts. Every Sunday morning, for example, there is an organic produce and craft market nearby in Holders Hill; These, together with the friendly vibrant Caribbean culture make the island a treasure to be discovered.

 

Pappagallo can be rented as 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms throughout the year

Staff include cook, housekeeper/cleaner and gardener. Staff work 8 hrs/day up to 6 days a week. Any extras can be agreed directly with staff.
